OUR WORKING APPROACH

Preparing People and Planning Responsible Work

Delta Oman’s approach brings task preparation, personnel readiness, and customer requirements together to guide how each assignment is organised, supervised, and reviewed on site.

Each assignment begins with understanding the work and the conditions around it, so responsibilities are clear before people mobilise.

Our approach connects the agreed scope with personnel preparation, equipment arrangements, and customer instructions, giving the team a shared basis for carrying out its assigned tasks.

BEFORE THE FIRST TASK

Readiness Begins With a Clear Plan

Refinery and handling assignments bring people, materials, and equipment into shared working areas. Our approach starts by understanding these interfaces and agreeing the preparations, instructions, and responsibilities needed for the team to begin its assigned work.

Define the Boundaries of the Work
Match People to Their Roles
Confirm Equipment and Area Readiness
Establish Contacts and Reporting Lines

From Scope to Site Delivery

Our delivery approach connects the customer’s requirement with practical preparation, clear instructions, and review throughout the assignment.

Understand the Required Work
Agree Resources and Team Responsibilities
Prepare People for Mobilisation and Access
Confirm Instructions Before Activities Begin
Review Progress and Address Changing Conditions
Complete the Agreed Records and Handover

When the scope changes, review the affected resources, instructions, and working arrangements before proceeding.

Caring for Materials and the Surrounding Work Area

Loading, movement, and storage activities need clear arrangements for material care and housekeeping. Our approach is to identify the requirements relevant to the assignment and establish how the team follows the customer’s instructions for the working area.

Material Care

Use the handling arrangements agreed for each task.

Release Response

Know who to alert when a spill or release is observed.

Clear Work Areas

Maintain access and report obstructions or damage.

Waste Segregation

Use the collection points designated by the site.

Agree these responsibilities during preparation and revisit them when the work changes.

WORKING WITH YOUR FACILITY

Define Responsibilities Around Your Site Rules

The customer’s operating arrangements form part of the assignment. They need to be understood alongside the tasks our team is engaged to perform.

Before mobilisation, the scope discussion identifies relevant site instructions, access conditions, required documents, and equipment responsibilities, together with the people authorised to give direction.

Clear work boundaries help everyone understand their responsibilities and when an issue needs the customer’s decision.

Recognise a Change in Conditions
Notify the Person Responsible for the Work
Review the Task and Necessary Precautions
Confirm Readiness to Resume

Pause the affected activity when conditions are unsafe or instructions are unclear, and seek direction.

Respond to Changes on Site

Changes in materials, equipment, access, or nearby activities can affect the task. The team needs a clear process for raising concerns and seeking direction.

Prepare Each Person for Their Role

People need to understand their assigned activities, the working area, and who provides direction. Relevant technical skills are the starting point.

Preparation should also address induction, task instructions, protective requirements, and emergency information, with a designated supervisor available for questions and concerns.

Every person should know their task, their point of contact, and how to raise a concern.
