Yard & Storage Operations

Support for material receipt, storage organisation, stock records, and dispatch preparation at your facility.

Discuss Your Storage Requirement

Keep your yard organised around what arrives, where it belongs, and when it needs to leave. Delta Oman?s proposed service brings these activities into a defined operating scope.

The assignment is structured around your materials, storage layout, working schedule, and reporting requirements.

WITHIN YOUR FACILITY

Know What Has Arrived and What Is Ready to Leave

A working yard needs more than available space. Teams need clear receiving instructions, designated storage locations, and reliable information about material movements.

Delta Oman supports agreed yard activities within customer premises, with responsibilities established for receipt checks, placement coordination, recordkeeping, and dispatch preparation.

The objective is to give your team a clear view of materials under the agreed scope, from arrival through storage to authorised release.

Organise the Work From Receipt to Dispatch

Build your service scope around four connected yard and storage activities.

Receiving materials against agreed delivery instructions
Organising placement within designated storage locations
Updating stock records and supporting scheduled checks
Preparing materials for release against customer approval

Inspection limits, recordkeeping duties, handling arrangements, and release authority are defined in the contract.

DAILY YARD ADMINISTRATION

Give Each Movement a Clear Record

Useful stock information starts with consistent records of what was received, where it was placed, and what was released.

Our proposed approach uses the customer?s agreed documents or systems, with responsibilities defined for data entry, movement updates, and stock checks.

Where quantities or material details differ from instructions, the team records the discrepancy and refers it to the designated customer representative for resolution.

PREPARING THE STORAGE AREA

Match Storage Arrangements to the Materials

Storage requirements depend on the material, its packaging, condition, and the time it will remain on site.

The assignment should establish designated areas, access requirements, stacking limits, and any protection or segregation needs.

Our proposed role includes following the agreed storage instructions and reporting damaged packaging, obstructions, or unsuitable conditions.

Prepare the Right Materials for the Next Step

Dispatch preparation starts with an authorised instruction. Material identification, quantities, and collection arrangements need to be clear before release.

We coordinate agreed preparation activities with the customer?s representatives and the team responsible for physical loading or onward movement.

Yard administration and physical handling can be combined where contracted, with clear responsibilities for each activity.

Your Yard and Storage Questions

Understand where the service operates, how stock records are managed, and what information helps define your facility?s requirements.

Do you provide storage premises?
This proposed service focuses on operating agreed activities within customer-provided yards and storage areas. It does not include a commitment to provide Delta-owned storage facilities.
What can the service include?
The scope can cover receipt checks, storage organisation, movement records, stock checks, and dispatch preparation. Responsibilities are agreed against the materials and facility requirements.
Can you work with our existing inventory system?
Share your system, reporting process, and access requirements during the scope discussion. Any data-entry or system responsibilities must be assessed and agreed before mobilisation.
Does yard management include physical material handling?
Physical loading, unloading, stacking, and movement can be discussed under the separate On-Site Material Handling service. A combined contract should clearly define both scopes.
What information do you need to assess our requirement?
Provide the location, yard layout, material types, expected volumes, storage conditions, and working schedule. Include your current receiving, stock-control, and dispatch processes.
